Our first pilot program is in the books!
On February 19, 2020, we ran our first successful pilot program with support from the Yale Farm! Our goal was to turn a real-world need into a learning opportunity. The farm needed a new compost bin, so we put together some basic tools and a team of amazing volunteers.
In one day, we created a 2-bin system out of locally sourced hemlock, hardware cloth, and some basic hardware. We even finished 10-minutes early.
Our volunteers braved the cold to learn basic hand-tool skills. From layout to site cleanup, it was a great experience.
Stay tuned for our next project!
