Benefits: GI Bill© Eligibility

Our starting point was determining if you can use the DoD SkillBridge©, GI Bill©, or both. The next step is to determine which GI Bill© applies to you.

There are three options: Post 9/11 GI Bill© (Chapter 33), Montgomery GI Bill-Active Duty©, and Montgomery GI Bill-Selected Reserve©.

For most veterans, the Post 9/11 option probably makes the most sense. If you served prior to 9/11, or are enrolled in the National Guard or Reserves, you may only be eligible for the other two.

Look at each of your GI Bill© options as different routes to navigate the same terrain. Each route has unique requirements that need to be worked out on a case by case basis.
